Guide for authors

Articles dealing with problems similar to journal scope could be published. All articles are reviewed prior to publication. Submission of an article to the Archives of Waste Management and Environmental Protection implies that it has not been published previously, that it is not under consideration for publication elsewhere, that its publication is approved by all authors and tacitly or explicitly by the responsible authorities where the work was carried out, and that, if accepted, it will not be published elsewhere in the same form, in Polish, English or in any other language

Authors are requested to send the manuscript in Word 2000 as attachment to electronic mail to: ago@helion.pl, as well as:
- Cover letter
- Copyright Form.

Language
Articles could be published in Polish (with abstract in English) or in English (with abstract in Polish).

Manuscript submission
For submissions, please send two hard copies of the manuscript and an identical electronic copy on a disk or use e-mail. It is essential to give a postal address, phone and fax number as well as e-mail address of all authors when submitting a manuscript. Please indicate contact person. When manuscript is received editor would send conformation via e-mail. All corrections indicated by referees should be done within 6 weeks. When your manuscript is received by the Publisher, it is considered to be in its final form.

Manuscript format
Manuscript should be prapared in Ms Word format (please note detailed remarks about prepration of text) and placed on FD 3,5" (1,44 MB), on CD disk or sent via e-mail.

Preparation of text
Text should be elaborated on the basis of AGO.dot, which could be downloaded form our web-site http://ago.helion.pl/szablony/AGO.dot. (Right-click the mouse on "AGO.dot" and indicate Save Link as show place where it should be saved).

Subdivision of the manuscript (please note the example - which could be used as bassis for article preparation)

article title - please use style Nagłówek 1

Names and addresses of authors - please use style autor
Abstract (in English) - please use style Nagłówek 2
Text of Abstract containing not more then 12 lines - please use style standardowy
As first chapter please place 1. Introduction
Section title - please use style Nagłówek 2. Sections should be numbered. Please place numbers of chapters before their names
Sub-sections title - please use style Nagłówek 3. Sub-sections should be numbered using numbers placing at the beginning number of section then "." and number of subsection (for example 2.1)
Sub-sub-section title - please use style Nagłówek 4. Sub-sections should be numbered using numbers placing at the beginning number of section then "." and number of subsection and at the end number of sub-sub-section (for example 2.1.1)
Figure legends - please use style rysunek. Figure names and legends should be numbered using numbers placing at the beginning number of section then "." and number of figure (for example in section 2 figures should be numbered as follows: 2.1, 2.2, 2.3 ect.)
Table legends - please use style tabela. Table names and legends should be numbered using numbers placing at the beginning number of section then "." and number of table (for example in section 2 figures should be numbered as follows: 2.1, 2.2, 2.3 ect.). Text inside table should have style tekst w tabeli
Equations - please use style wzor. Equations should be numbered using numbers placing at the beginning number of section then "." and number of equation (for example in section 2 equations should be numbered as follows: 2.1, 2.2, 2.3 ect.). Numbers should be placed on the right edge of the line - please use TAB to place number in the right position
Body text - please use style standardowy.
* At the begginig please do not define space!,
* Graphic could be placed inside text - please do not use additional frames! Please do not copy ghrphic from graphic editor to the word by clipboard. Please do not use drawing tools of Word. Bitmaps are recomended for graphic.
* Colors - articles will be published in black and white.
* Citations in the text: Please ensure that every reference cited in the text is also present in the reference list (and vice versa). Please place number of citation between signs "[" and "]". Refernce list at the end of article should be accompanied by numbers and should have style literatura.
* Please do not place page numbers within the text and do not use headers and footers
* Please do not define new styles!!

Copyright
All authors must sign the "Transfer of Copyright" agreement before the article can be published. This transfer agreement enables publisher of Archives of Waste Management and Environmental Protection to protect the copyrighted material for the authors, without the author relinquishing his/her proprietary rights. The copyright transfer covers the exclusive rights to reproduce and distribute the article, including reprints, photographic reproductions, microfilm or any other reproductions of a similar nature, and translations. Authors are responsible for obtaining from the copyright holder permission to reproduce any material for which copyright already exists.
